Soapbox is a real-time debate platform. This policy describes what we collect today. As the product evolves, we’ll update this page.
Information we collect
- Account information: your email address. If you sign in with Google, we also receive your name, profile picture, and email from your Google account.
- Profile information: any optional profile data you provide (username, avatar).
- Debate activity: records of debates you participate in or spectate, topics you select, votes you cast, and chat messages you send.
- Technical data: standard server logs (IP address, browser, timestamps) used to operate the service and prevent abuse.
How we use information
To operate the platform: matching debaters, displaying debates to spectators, recording votes and chat, and securing accounts. We do not sell personal information.
Your rights
You can delete your account at any time, which removes your profile and associated debate records.
